The Kalar-Darbandikhan highway mission has accomplished its first part, in response to a press launch from the KRG.
Garmian Roads Director Adnan Khalil stated:
“The primary part of the mission, 24 kilometers lengthy and 17 meters extensive, has been accomplished at a value of 46 billion dinars.
“The second part of the mission is 41 kilometers lengthy at a of prices 137 billion dinars. It contains 35 bridges with a size of 5 kilometers“.
With the completion of each phases, the gap between the 2 cities shall be 40 minutes and can join the Kurdistan Area with different elements of Iraq and Iran.
A part of the mission, the Awakheri Bridge (pictured beneath), connecting Garmian administration to Sulaimani province, would be the longest bridge within the Kurdistan Area and Iraq.
Khalil added:
“The bridge consists of 38 sections, 1,200 meters lengthy, two sides all sides is six and a half meters extensive, the peak of the bridge is eighteen meters and the pillars are 14 meters underneath the bottom.”
The bridge is 50-percent accomplished.
