Panic gripped the national capital on Monday morning after several prominent schools received chilling bomb threat emails, prompting immediate evacuations and a massive deployment of security forces. The threat, which specifically mentioned a timeline for explosions and used provocative political rhetoric, saw local police, K9 units, and bomb disposal squads racing to secure campuses across the city.

According to police sources, the threatening email landed in school inboxes around 7:22 AM. The sender, identifying with “Khalistan” extremist rhetoric, claimed that multiple explosions would rock Delhi schools at 1:11 PM on Monday.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, the message further alleged that the Indian Parliament would be targeted on February 13 at the same time. The email also expanded its scope beyond the capital, warning of potential blasts at schools in Chandigarh.

Following standard emergency protocols, school authorities immediately evacuated students and staff to designated safe zones.

  • Anti-Sabotage Checks: Exhaustive searches were conducted by specialized units throughout the morning.
  • No Explosives Found: After hours of high-tension sweeps, police confirmed that no suspicious objects or explosive devices were located.
  • The “Hoax” Pattern: This incident follows a disturbing trend; just last month, Delhi witnessed a similar wave of email threats that were later determined to be hoaxes intended to disrupt public order.

Cyber-security cells and local investigators are now working to trace the IP address and origin of the emails. While the threats have been declared a hoax for now, security remains on high alert across Delhi’s educational institutions and government buildings as the February 13 deadline approaches.
